How we treat others reveals the attitude inside of us. The Holy Spirit in me does not fight against the Holy Spirit in you.

Conflict comes from wrong attitudes within us:

Wrong motives

Spiritual elevation comes through humility

James 4:6–8, 10

Humility is the result of a right relationship with God. Pride is the result of resisting God. Humility is knowing who we are in Christ.

1 Peter 5:5–10

Sin of commission: doing what you know you shouldn't do.

Sin of omission: not doing what you know you should do.

Psalm 25:9: He leads the humble in what is right and teaches the humble his way.
